Benin city remains one of the major capitals of gospel music in Nigeria. As one after the other, from rap artist to traditional gospel artist and from worship to r and b styled artist, it was a night of powerful ministrations. The vice President of Fogmmon Samsong set the tone . his speech was so mellow but so balanced and mature. He emphasised that FOGMMON has not come to confront the church but rather it was a major complement that was missing in the church. He encouraged all to join the train moving all music ministers to the promise land.
The national President Asu Ekiye delivered his usual charge, coloured in fire and brimstone touching every thinkable area in the impediments that confront the average Gospel musician and the need for an interventionist body like FOGMMON. He ended his speech by presenting the elected leaders to the House . the leadership reflects the broad spectrum of varied colour of musicians that Edo state had to offer. Sprouting from Auchi to Afema, and Igbanke to BENIN it was an heterogenous mix. At the End Victor Atenaga personally handled a question and answer session and took the vote of thanks to wrap up the event. FOGMMON: MUSIC, SPIRITUALITY, ENTERTAINMENT.
