The
news has just been released today from Bayelsa State that Mr Asu Ekiye,
popularly called The Prince of the Niger Delta and also the National
President of FOGMMON has just been appointed the new SPECIAL ADVISER
TO THE BAYELSA STATE GOVERNMENT ON ENTERTAINMENT AND CULTURE.
The
appointment was confirmed yesterday the 20th of June 2017 by the
governor himself and was formalized and to be announced on radio and Tv
today the 21st of June 2017. This decision was a product of the
governors belief in Asu Ekiye's ability to reposition the entertainment
industry in the state and to spotlight the latent entertainment based
gifting of the people of Bayelsa state to the world .
The appointment also has the portfolio of Special adviser on Culture. Asu Ekiye is regarded as exceptional in the area of projecting
the culture of the Niger Delta people both in his dressing and his
music. He is being positioned as a cultural ambassador and will
recommend Programs and policies to bolster the cultural export of
Bayelsa to the world.
It is indeed a new dawn for Asu Ekiye.
